Kitteh, you put it right. These books are crack. Bad, unhealthy, and keep you wanting more.

I liked Jacob in the first part of the book, now I don't know...he bothers me.

That being said, I feel weird talking about the books when they aren't even amazing. CURSE GUILTY PLEASURES. NO WONDER THEY ARE GUILTY. -shakes fist-

That said, I like Edward...with Bella. For me, I don't have any of these 'ZOMG!! SEXY EDWARD!' feelings. I love his character design, along with the others, but I'm more of the couple supporter, even if I want to shoot them both at times.

I love the 'classic' vamps a lot more. See, I think the tv series Moonlight does a good job with new ideas (such as vamps being able to handle limited amounts of sun-it eventual makes them really weak-, sleeping in cold rooms or freezers instead of coffins since they need the cold, and the whole a wooden stake paralyzes rather than kills) and the traditional stuff. On a whole, the vamps of Moonlight and the classics are just my cup of tea. I don't really see Twilight vampires as progress for me, and I don't view them as serious.

So yeah. Liked the second book a bit more. Less cheesy stuff, less fan-fiction going on, but still...the author can randomly make me want to bash my head in. (And hello, the part in Italy at the end, when the vamps eat those people? I did NOT feel that it was concluded. It made me feel like it was hanging...I dunno. Just not satisfied with it.)

And ohohohoho. Don't think I don't enjoy bashing my new found guilty pleasure. >:3 I like it, but hey...I still think Lestat would kick some Cullen ass.

So yeah. Gonna go read some more stuff. I really like first person books as of late. I think 'The Name of the Wind' and now the whole Steven Saylor series made me love it. Maybe that's why I don't mind Twilight etc.o.o
